Many companies and brands have the desire to tell a story about their product or services. Often times, social media allows interruption of this story telling process and causes the storyline to shift or change. My recommendation for up and coming brands is to get in front of social media from the start to ensure the brand story gets told the right way. For example, on Instagram, a brand could use captivating photos and tell short stories through the captions of each photo. A fun way to incorporate story telling on Instagram is by allowing fans to create user-generated content and reposting it. This continues telling the brand story, but also encourages fans to put out positive content that will only enhance the storyline opposed to completely interrupting it.
