My name is Camille. Most people call me “Cam” for short. Let me tell you a little about myself – both professionally and personally.
With a six-year background in sales, I’ve worked for Sprint and T-Mobile between 2012-2017. In both companies, I was tasked with taking charge of small business sales, organizing outreach events, and maintaining social media channels to help increase in-store sales. This background in sales along with my ten-year background in digital design is what ultimately led me to my passion for marketing.
I started my marketing career as an intern for Prediq Media in Boca Raton, where I was part of an independent study for Florida Atlantic University, under Senior Marketing Instructor, Dr. Ann Root. In the program, I led two teams of digital marketing students in creating marketing strategies for non-profit organizations.
Most recently, I worked at a South Florida-based technology firm, 4it, where I helped win the Daily Business Review’s “Best Of” Readers Survey in four technology categories for two years in a row and implemented a full rebrand. I also introduced a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) toolset to help with lead acquisition and management.
In July 2019, I became a Customer Experience Specialist at ADT. As a CX Specialist, I help to optimize the billing platform and app, as well as improve the overall experience for current customers.
I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a minor in Digital Marketing. In an effort to strengthen my skills in branding, analytics, and digital marketing, I earned my Master of Science in Marketing at Florida International University, one of the country’s highest-ranking marketing programs in the summer of 2019.
I’m originally from New York City, born to a very culturally diverse family (Nicaraguan, German, Puerto Rican, and African-American). This ultimately made the move to South Florida easier, as it was from one melting pot to another.
If I had to describe myself in one word, it would probably be tenacious. Some might call it stubbornness, but I’m not easily dispelled and try my best to achieve my goals. I’m very self-motivated, and often look for ways to improve myself or the community around me. If you’re into the whole Myers-Briggs personality thing, I’m definitely an ESTJ.
When I’m not working hard, I enjoy doing a variety of things. You could usually catch me watching the newest sci-fi or fantasy movie, reading, mindlessly wandering around in Target, in front of a plate of food, or in a garden somewhere.
